I Swear tells the true story of John Davidson, a young man from Scotland living with severe Tourette syndrome at a time when the condition was barely understood. As a teenager in the 1980s, John struggles with school, family expectations, and a society that misinterprets his involuntary tics and outbursts. Over time he finds purpose in educating others, becoming a campaigner who helps change public understanding of Tourette’s. Blending humour, empathy, and drama, the film charts John’s journey from misunderstood outsider to respected advocate.
