Botcheston Village Hall was filled with merriment and joy on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, as the community came together to commemorate the Kings Coronation event. The village hall, adorned with regal decorations, played host to a memorable day of festivities, delicious food, and live entertainment.
The event was made all the more delightful with a team of skilled grill masters. Ian, Craig, and Simon took charge of the sizzling BarBQ, creating tantalising aromas that enticed everyone in attendance. With their expert culinary skills, they ensured that guests enjoyed a scrumptious feast fit for a king.
Adding to the ambiance, Jill skillfully managed the outdoor bar, serving refreshing beverages that kept everyone cool and hydrated throughout the day. Her friendly demeanor and swift service ensured that nobody went thirsty.
As well as the normal bar there was a Procecco bar for the Royal touch!
For those seeking to stretch their legs and embrace the picturesque countryside, a delightful 3-mile country walk was organised, allowing participants to bask in the natural beauty surrounding Botcheston. The walk provided an opportunity for residents to connect with nature while enjoying the company of their fellow villagers.
The festivities reached their crescendo with a captivating performance by Jo, a talented local singer who mesmerised the audience with her soulful melodies and powerful voice. Her enchanting performance added an extra layer of magic to the Kings Coronation event, leaving everyone thoroughly entertained.
To add to the excitement, a raffle was held, offering a chance for attendees to win a fantastic prize. The lucky winner of the coveted Tablet was none other than Jan Damon, who was overjoyed to claim the prize.
